VICTORY IN SILVER CUP AND TOP 5 OVERALL IN VALENCIA

Madpanda made its return in the Sprint version of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe this weekend on the Valencia circuit of Ricardo Tormo. A great comeback for Ezequiel Companc and the performance Mercedes driver Fabian Schiller: a victory in Silver and a Top 5 overall.

After a very good practice where the car was among the fastest of class, the qualifications were also positive: a 6th and a 4th position in Silver Cup. Two good starting positions for two 60-minute races, one on dry conditions, one on wet.

The first race ended halfway due to a technical failure. Madpanda Motorsport took its revenge in the second one, under very wet conditions. After taking the start and doing a great stint, Fabian left the wheel to Ezequiel. A brilliant pitstop and a good strategy from the whole team allowed the Spanish team to shine on a wet track. As the track began to dry, Ezequiel managed the end of his stint perfectly.

This victory motivates all the team to finish the 2022 Endurance championship on the same note. Indeed, there is only one weekend left and the season will close its curtains. The finale will take place in two weeks (Sep 30 - Oct 2) at the Circuit of Barcelona-Catalunya, at home.

Fabian Schiller, driver: "It’s been a fun weekend with a great bunch of people in the team! Yesterday it was a bit unfortunate with the DNF due to a technical issue but that’s part of racing! The guys worked hard overnight to prepare a good car and we managed to win Silver Cup and finish P5 overall. A great result for us. I would be happy to be back with the team!"

Ezequiel Companc, driver and team principal: "I'm really happy and proud for the whole team. We fought nicely for this one, winning it on track and at the pitstop. The guys again did a mega job, with a proper reward this time! I want to thank Fabi for the weekend. It was a pleasure to have him be part of the team! We had our fun together! Now we focus on Barcelona, to end the year with another podium".
