PRODUCTIVE CROWDSTRIKE 24H OF SPA PROLOGUE

The official test days of the 75th edition of the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa took place on the Belgian circuit last Tuesday and Wednesday. Ezequiel Companc and the three rookies Magnus Gustavsen, Jesse Salmenautio and Alexey Nesov covered 1,400 kilometers without a hitch over two days.

Despite all the red flags that occurred during the prologue, the Madpanda #90 crew was able to carry out all the tests they had planned. This allowed the three rookies to gain a lot of experience with the GT3 on this high-speed circuit, and to be ready for their first 24 hours of Spa.

This concludes the final phase of preparations for the world's biggest GT race and the countdown has now begun. But first the team heads to the Circuit Paul Ricard for the second round of the Fanatec GT World Endurance Cup. After a podium finish at Monza, the Spanish crew has high expectations. As a reminder, Madpanda is second in the Silver Cup Endurance standings and first in the SRO E-sports championship.

Magnus Gustavsen, driver: « I’m happy with our Spa 24h prologue! We managed to run 2 full days without any issues and everything worked smoothly. In the end, I found a good rhythm with the car on the Spa circuit and I’m feeling ready for the 24H ».

Jesse Salmenautio, driver: « Great experience gained in two solid test days without crashes or major problems ».

Alexey Nesov, driver: "The test has been good. Solid mileage was completed without any issues or incidents. Personally for me it was hard to come back on this track since my last appearance here ended up in a big accident. However, after getting a confidence back I was enjoying every second out there".

Ezequiel Companc, driver and team principal: “Test went flawlessly for us, which is really positive coming into the 6 & 24 hour Endurance races. The drivers & team did a great job throughout the 2 test days. Now we focus on Paul Ricard before the big one!”
