LEARNING WEEKEND FOR MADPANDA IN OSCHERSLEBEN
The 16th season of the ADAC GT Masters kicked off this weekend at the Oschersleben Arena. A first learning round for the very first Spanish team of the championship and its drivers Jannes Fittje and Ezequiel Companc who crossed the line twice in P20. On the other hand, the return of the public and the pit walk allowed 28,000 people to meet Marga.
Madpanda Motorsport has gained a lot of experience and leaves Germany with plenty of data but also an amazing memory of a great meeting with all the German public. The crew has discovered the atmosphere of the GT Masters and is looking forward to the next round.
The next race is scheduled for May 21 and 22 in Spielberg, Austria on the renowned Red Bull Ring. Madpanda will meet the Bull for the first time. In the meantime, the team will be working hard in the workshop based in Montmeló and producing nice goodies for its fans.
Jannes Fittje, driver: "Overall it was a difficult weekend for the team and myself. It started well with free practice where we had a good pace with the new tires. We were unlucky with the red flag in qualifying so I couldn't show the potential of the car and myself. We made P13 when P7 was achievable. I got a good start in race 1 and returned the car in P10. Unfortunately after the pitstop we were unlucky, as well as in race 2. We have to fix everything and I hope we will have a better performance in Austria".
Ezequiel Companc, driver and team principal: "It was a learning weekend. We got a lot of data and we will make sure to analyze it and come back stronger for Red Bull Ring. It was amazing to see the support from our fans and the grandstands full of life. It was fun to share smiles and love with our German fans".
