GREAT PROGRESS AND POINTS IN ZANDVOORT

After two complicated events, Madpanda Motorsport made good progress in the Dutch dunes. The third round of the ADAC GT Masters ended with a 4th position in qualifying and points.

Starting from the second row, Ezequiel Companc led the first race for a few laps after a brilliant overtake on the outside of Turn 1. Unfortunately, an early tyre change, due to a red flag causing a delayed start, made it difficult to do better than P15.

Debris on the track hampered Maximilian Götz from getting a good starting position in race 2. Although he was unable to show what he was capable of in qualifying, the German and his teammate recovered well to cross the finish line in P12. Götz was making his return to the championship and showed good speed throughout the weekend.

The Spanish team found a good balance of the car and is ready to break into the Top 10 in the next rounds. There are a lot of positive things to remember from this Dutch event. It is now time to recharge the batteries and get ready for the TotalEnergies 24 Hours of Spa, which will take place on July 30-31. The fourth round of the ADAC GT Masters will take place at the Nürburgring on August 6-7, after the 24 Hours.

Maximilian Götz, driver: “I would like to thank Madpanda for the opportunity and for the chance  to race with them. It was a pleasure to meet the team and to work with them. It is a very professional team. We improved the balance of the car and we did a big step even if we were unlucky with the weather on race 1 and in quali 2. It could have been better but the team learned a lot and that’s important. Looking forward to join again the team maybe later in the season!”

Ezequiel Companc, team principal and driver: "It's a positive weekend. We did a massive step forward compared to the first two events. I'm really happy of how the team and the two additional members worked. Max did a really good job. He really fits in team, professionally and personally. I'm looking forward to the next event. We keep working hard to keep improving!"
