DOUBLE PODIUM IN HOCKENHEIM!
Madpanda Motorsport took second and third place in class at the third round of the Fanatec GT World Sprint Cup in Hockenheim, Germany. Ezequiel Companc's and Jesse Salmenautio's brilliant drive, strong pitstops and great strategies enabled the team to collect important championship points.
The weekend's spectacle brought together a formidable field of 41 cars on a 4,574 km circuit. The first race saw a remarkable comeback for Madpanda Motorsport, which climbed from 7th in class and 37th overall to 2nd in class and 14th overall. Thanks to a strong pitstop, the Mercedes-AMG n°90 gained a considerable advantage.
In Sunday’s race, the Panda drivers started the one-hour race from third position. Despite loosing some places by avoiding a huge incident, they made a great comeback to 3th place in Silver and 17th overall, thanks to solid stints. In both races, the Spanish team was the fastest pitstop crew of the Silver class, which is undoubtedly key in Sprint races.
The entire team is once again grateful for the unwavering support of their fans, either the ones present on site or the ones following them from all around the world. Looking ahead, Madpanda Motorsport is already preparing for the fourth round and is determined to build on this weekend's success. This penultimate event of the Sprint championship will take place at Circuit Ricardo Tormo, in Valencia on September 16 and 17. It will be the first « home race » weekend of the Spanish crew before the final of the Endurance Cup two weeks later in Barcelona.
