Challenging weekend at the Red Bull Ring

Challenging weekend at the Red Bull Ring

The second round of the ADAC GT Masters took place at the Red Bull Ring, two hours away from Vienna. A first time on the Austrian circuit that ended with two 20th places. The Madpanda Motorsport drivers Jannes Fittje and Ezequiel Companc drove in front of 25,000 people between the landscapes of Spielberg town.

The second weekend of the German season was not successful for the team. Although this is not reflected in the results, there are many positives to take away from this round. The team gathered a lot of data from the numerous tests performed on the car and the drivers have gained race experience and know where to work.

The Pandas leave Austria with a great motivation to come back stronger. The third round will take place in the middle of the sand dunes at CM Circuit Zandvoort on June 24-26. In the meantime, the team will be back at Circuit Paul Ricard for the 1000 km of the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup on June 3-5.

Jannes Fittje, driver: "It was a tough weekend for Ezequiel, the team and I. The mechanics and the engineers gave everything but it was apparently not enough. Now we will analyze everything. It is frustrating because we aim for more but it was not our weekend. Let's see what we can do in Zandvoort!"

Ezequiel Companc, driver and team principal: "It was a tough weekend for the team, but we know we have what it takes to overcome these kind of situations going forward. I want to give a big shoutout to the panda crew, who pushed super hard during all the event. We will continue to learn and come back stronger!"
